Welcome to FORAB – the federation has been in existence for over fifty years, providing a forum for community groups to exchange news and information on matters affecting their members. 

Membership is open to any properly organised, representative, non-party political organisations in the London Borough of Barnet.  All member organisations must have a constitution, formal membership, an annual general meeting and elected officers.  There is a small annual membership fee.

We aim to protect and advance the interests of residents in general and organise united action amongst member associations in matters of common interest.  Our work largely concerns planning matters.  We disseminate information and make representations on initiatives such as the revision of Barnet’s Local Plan currently in progress and changes to planning legislation initiated by the Government.
